Territory Business Development Manager

Seasoned and successful sales representatives to sell into the domestic Law Enforcement and Corrections segments. Responsible for meeting quarterly and annual sales goals primarily by developing new customers and new sales to existing customers. Achieve the sales, profit, and new customer development objectives for the western region including but not limited to CA, AZ, OR & WA.

Candidate must be located in Arizona or California. Or willing to relocate.

  • Establishes, develops and maintains positive business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segments to generate new business for Lifeloc products/services.
  • Travels extensively within assigned territory to achieve territory objectives.
  • Conducts telephone calls, webinars and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Creates and manages a value map for major customers.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, strengths and weaknesses. Develops and executes sales plans to take market share from the competition.
  • Recommend, gain approval, and implement effective sales promotions, mailings, literature needs, show participation in areas of responsibility.
  • Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time and Expense Investment for the territory/segment.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity reports, such as weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Stays on-top of product applications, regulations and market conditions.
  • Participates in local trade shows and conventions.
  • Identify and monitor customer needs and satisfaction levels, respond to RFIs, RFQs, prepare clear and effective quotes and proposals
  • Provide and coordinate customer training.
  • Meeting and Exceeding Sales Goals, Closing Skills, Territory Management, Prospecting Skills, Negotiation, Self-Confidence, Product Knowledge, Presentation Skills, Client Relationships.
  • Undergraduate degree in business or marketing, or comparable combination of sales and marketing experience.
  • Personal adaptability and proclivity to selling a technical product. Hunter versus farmer sales profile.
  • Able to travel extensively throughout territory to develop and close sales opportunities.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful and documentable sales experience preferably selling equipment to Law Enforcement.
  • Prior experience in drug and alcohol testing and/or instrument sales industry useful but not essential.
  • Excellent presentation skills. Excellent phone demeanor and customer handling skills.
  • Conversant with and highly effective in the techniques and disciplines of sales, sales management, and marketing communications. A proven sales professional.
  • A high degree of initiative and the ability to operate independently.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.
  • Driven to make money by working hard to reach as many new prospects each day as possible.
  • Reside in California or Arizona.
  • Experience in the law enforcement field is desirable.
  • Bilingual in Spanish; conversational Portuguese a plus.

Lifeloc Certified Master Trainer and Distributor Opportunities

Lifeloc Technologies is looking for experienced Substance Abuse Professionals to work as Lifeloc Certified Master Trainers and Equipment Distributors. Territories of immediate interest include Southern California.

Successful candidates must have significant expertise in the Drug and Alcohol Workplace including but not limited to consulting, training and substance abuse policy development and implementation in DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing and practice. Candidate’s qualifications must include experience in Program Administration, Certified DOT Urine Collections, Breath Alcohol Technicians. Other relevant credentials include safety management, human resources and lab technician.

Electrical Engineer

Provide hands-on engineering leadership in areas of firmware, hardware, manufacturing support, sales support, and research for Lifeloc’s extensive line of products. Design, implement and improve hardware and firmware to add features, increase reliability, maintain lifecycle and reduce costs.

  • A 4 year degree in Engineering, Electronics or comparable with at least 7 years of engineering work experience
  • Broad knowledge of C programming language and embedded firmware
  • Experience in pc board layout and design
  • Displayed analog and digital circuit design and troubleshooting expertise with electromechanical devices
  • Able to troubleshoot and debug firmware and hardware
  • Ability to assist teams in analyzing design for manufacturability
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Team player with ability to excel in a small company environment
  • Create, test and evaluate product firmware upgrades using C and associated tools.
  • Create and implement code features based upon sales marketing requirements
  • Design validation plans and testing as per GMP and ISO requirements.
  • Participate in hardware design for product and test fixture development to include schematic design, capture and PC board layout.
  • Provide leadership in failure analysis and root cause analysis to support product quality.
  • Maintain and manage Lifeloc’s engineering data and design process per our QC system.
  • Construct and test prototype electromechanical devices.
  • Inspect designs and materials for conformity with specifications and/or drawings.
  • Lead in the development, design, testing, maintenance of test fixtures and production equipment.
  • Provide support to manufacturing for the test and optimization of existing manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in the research and specification of process controls for manufacturing.
  • Address end of life component replacement and qualify alternate vendors during a products life cycle.
