This handbook is the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Breath Alcohol
Technician (BAT) training manual for students: this handbook is for use
in preparing BATs to conduct breath alcohol tests in accordance with
the 49 CFR Part 40 of the U.S Department of Transportation's Alcohol
Testing Procedures. This is not a self taught guide and must be used in
conjunction with instructor led training.
