Calibration
Lifeloc provides all the supplies and expertise required to keep your breath alcohol testers accurate at all times. Our models are known for their ease of calibration and thoughtful design which assists the operator with the calibration and calibration check process. Understand the process Calibration is a two-step process. Every calibration should be followed by a calibration check to make certain your unit calibrated properly. All these procedures are available in greater detail in your manual. Read your operations manual or program guidelines Your organization may have particular program guidelines that specify who may or may not calibrate the unit based upon employee designation, training, etc. Lifeloc recommends that you calibrate your instrument annually but your organization may have additional internal requirements that you will need to adhere to. If your unit is used under Department of Transportation guidelines Lifeloc has DOT approved QAP's to guide you through the process. Calibration Methods Dry Gas is highly portable for field use. Initial cost is lower but it cannot be transported by plane in your luggage, and shipment costs are higher due to hazardous material fees. Wet bath simulators require a power outlet and as such are less portable. Wet bath kits have a higher initial cost due to the price of the simulator. Calibration Supplies Calibration Service |
