DOT/NHTSA Conforming Products Listing:

The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT or DOT) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA) are the primary government entities charged with the safety of motor vehicle operation and road travel in the United States. The DOT was established by an act of Congress on October 15, 1966, and began operation on April 1, 1967. It is administered by the United States Secretary of Transportation.

The DOT/NHTSA Conforming Products Listing (CPL) means that the indicated Lifeloc products have been subjected to stringent accuracy and performance testing and have qualified to be in the Federal Register of conforming products.

By affixing the CE marking on a product, a manufacturer is declaring conformity with all of the legal requirements to achieve CE marking and therefore ensuring validity for that product to be sold throughout the European Economic Area. This also applies to products made in third world countries which are sold in the EEA.
